Value of parasternal limphodissection in the treatment of breast cancer

In a review of the literature provided the historical background to the use of videothoracoscopy in the surgical treatment of breast cancer. A comparative analysis of the possible ways of increasing the effectiveness of pre-operative verification hitting parasternal reservoir. Presents the results of a comparative evaluation of the effectiveness of videothoracoscopy parasternal limphodissection with extended open biopsy and mastectomy parasternal lymph nodes in diagnosis of lymphatic system parasternal zone with breast cancer. It is shown that videothoracoscopy parasternal limphodissection can improve the adequacy of the stading of breast cancer, to ensure adequate surgical radical with metastases in parasternal zone and thereby optimize further tactics of treatment.
