The journal supports open scientific communication. The posting of preprints (versions of manuscripts prior to review) and postprints (authored versions after review and acceptance for publication, but prior to publication layout) is permitted subject to two conditions: correct labeling of the version and mandatory indication of the full reference to the version published in the journal immediately after its appearance.
Preprints may be posted before submission to the journal, during the review process, and after publication. When submitting a manuscript, the author informs the editorial office of the existence of a preprint in the cover letter and provides a permanent link. During the review stage, the link to the preprint is not included in the manuscript file in order to maintain anonymity. After the article is published, the author updates the preprint card: adds a full link to the publication in the journal, the date of the update, and a clear note that the published version should be used for citation. It is recommended to clearly mark the preprint as not peer-reviewed and provide the version date.
Postprint placement is also permitted. A postprint is understood to be the author's accepted version without the publisher's layout and graphic design of the journal. It can be placed in an institutional or thematic repository, as well as on a personal website. At the beginning of the file, it should be indicated that this is the author's accepted version, and as soon as the publication in the journal becomes available, a full reference to it should be added. It should be noted that the page numbering and formatting in the postprint and in the published version may differ.
A "full reference to the journal" means a bibliographic description that includes the authors' last names and initials, the title of the article, the title of the journal, the year, volume, issue, pages, or electronic identifier and persistent digital identifier (DOI). Such a reference is indicated in the preprint card and in the postprint text, as well as in places where the author places the file or its description.
The choice of license for the preprint and postprint is made taking into account grant and institutional requirements, as well as compatibility with subsequent publication.
Incorrect version labeling and the absence of a complete reference to the journal publication are considered violations of this policy and may result in a request to correct the materials, a delay in the editorial process, or a post-publication correction notice.
