The journal supports the principles of transparency and reproducibility. This section describes the author's responsibilities and the procedure for providing access to data during the review and publication stages.
Data refers to raw and processed indicators, scripts and algorithms, descriptions of variables, experiment protocols, and any intermediate results necessary to verify tables, figures, and statistical conclusions that are not included in the text of the manuscript. If external data sets or software are used in the work, the sources, versions, and conditions of their use should be indicated.
Upon reasonable request from the editorial board or reviewers, the author shall promptly provide everything necessary to verify the results: data arrays, intermediate files, processing scripts, and protocols. The transfer shall be carried out via the journal platform or a closed link to the repository. The editorial board and reviewers use the materials exclusively for the purposes of review and observe confidentiality.
By the time the article is accepted, the author is recommended to place the data and code in a reliable repository with a permanent identifier (e.g., DOI) and versioning. The article provides active links, version identifiers, and the upload date. If open access is not possible for ethical, legal, or contractual reasons, the author makes descriptive metadata, instructions, and code available, and organizes access to the data itself in a controlled manner with a clear request procedure. The reason for the restrictions and the date of the embargo (or review period) are clearly stated.
Open machine-readable formats are preferred for data; the use of XLSX file format without macros is permitted. The repository must contain a file describing the file structure and analysis steps, a dictionary of variables, information about software versions and dependencies. It is desirable to attach an environment file or container, and for stochastic procedures, to fix the reproducibility parameters. If the article presents a new method or model, training/evaluation protocols and examples of reproduction of key metrics are published.
For data, the author chooses licenses that are compatible with scientific use and reanalysis (for data — CC0/CC BY or similar; for code — MIT/Apache-2.0/GPL, etc.). If part of the materials belongs to third parties or cannot be distributed under the terms of the article license, this is indicated in the article and in the repository, and the terms of use are specified separately. The author guarantees that the rights of third parties are settled and confidential information is not disclosed.
When working with personal, medical, or other restricted data, the author applies de-identification and describes the methods used. When open publication of the source data is not permitted, metadata, table layouts, and analysis code may be provided; access to the full data may be arranged through a controlled procedure (e.g., upon request and subject to the terms of a data use agreement).
After publication, the author maintains the relevance of references and versions, responds to reasonable requests from the scientific community, and stores the source materials for a reasonable period of time sufficient to verify the results. Significant updates to data or code are formalized as a new version in the repository with a description of the changes; if the updates affect the conclusions of the article, the author notifies the journal.
Refusal without good reason to provide materials necessary to verify the results at the review stage may result in the suspension of consideration or rejection of the manuscript. Violations of transparency and data accessibility identified after publication are considered in accordance with established procedures and may result in post-publication corrections or revision of the article's status.
